“ Amazing food! The grilled chicken sandwhich was seasoned so perfectly ”
“ The food here is delicious! Great service and a perfect setting to meet friends and family for good conversation. I highly recommend Garden of Eden! ”
“ They have re-opened and updated the place as of 05/19/19. This place wasn't closed for health violations they were closed for construction. The stickers from City of Chicago are for several permit reasons. This is one of my top 3 favorite middle eastern restaurants. Been going here for over 10 years. Food is great and real friendly service. From pita sandwhiches to full plates, good value for the money. And everything is fresh and BYOB. Just left and the food is delicious as usual. ”
“ Really good food! Everything was tasty and the owner was very friendly! Got the chicken shish kabob entree, which came with rice, chicken, salad and pita bread. Also got the shawarma sandwich and the falafel sandwich. Definitely will be back! Make sure to grab a menu while you're in there. ”
“ We got the veggie platter, a beef gyro, and the potato chop sandwich. All highly recommended. The owner was there when my partner picked the food up and was super friendly. Everything was very yummy! ”
“ Delicious food and amazing staff. Made me soup all week after my dental surgery, I would not have survived without their lentil soup. ”
“ This place has undoubtedly some of the best shawarma I’ve ever had. It’s so well seasoned and tender, and not too greasy or fatty. We also had the potato sandwich, which also amazing. I mean, it’s mashed potatoes in a sandwich! I was expecting it to be delicious, and it was. The owner is so kind, and goes above and beyond to create a comfortable atmosphere and great food. Go show him some love!!! ”
“ I have never ever tasted such a magnificently grilled fish like the one I just had delivered, n by the owner - who is professional n courteous too, what a treat! The grilled fish came with rice, sauce on the side (i prefer it that way), salad n pickled turnips. The fish was so tender n juicy it just melted in my mouth, the rice was fluffy n not starchy, n the salad w/ the pickled turnips contrasted the earthy grilled taste of the fish which emphasized the freshness of the meal. My oh my, Chicago, your hole in the wall small business restaurants preceed your famous food reputation - eat your heart out New York! ”
